AftabRad
Revit Add-in -> Revit2Radiace -> Rtrace Settings -> By Sensor Elements
in Revit
To create the calculation points that are based on defining XYZ coordinate positions and directions, there are different methods that can be applied in this add-in.
However, this part of add-in provides another way that is explained in the below:
- By loading a Face Based Generic Model Revit family into the project, we can create our own custom placement for calculation points.
Therefore, to define place calculation points manually in the project, we should do the following steps:
1- Open a relevant Grid Sensor Family that exists in C:\AftabRadSoft\Revit_SensorFamily and load it into the project.
2- Place it wherever it is needed to have a measurement/analysis in the model.
We can change the height of the calculation point in the Grid_Height parameter under the Dimensions (as you see in the above image)
3- Press ExportToRadiance button in the AftabRad Add-in
4- To create Calculation Points file, please check the By Sensor Elements in Revit checkbox.
5- Press OK to create the calculation points file.
